The ALPINE SPORTER
During the 1970s and the 1980s Golden State Arms and Santa Fe Arms began importing the Mod.1889,
the Mod. G11 and the Mod. Kar.11 rifles. GSA coined the name "Alpine Sporter". The intent was to supply the American shooting public with a low cost hunting rifle in a readily available caliber, that being .308 Winchester. The Mod.1889 was
re-chambered in 30/30. All of them were rechambered with the stocks turned into a sporting design.
The left rear of the receivers were drilled and tapped to accept a very inexpensive bent scope mount
offset on the left side. That was the only accessory that was then available.
Note: None of the rifles shown are available for purchase.
Please see these particular accessories pictured for the Alpine Sporter in the "Products" section.
The so-named "Alpine Sporter" will accept the following Swiss products accessories.
